 Peer to Peer Mentoring

Have you ever noticed that the youth today would much rather talk to anyone than their own parents? Peer – to peer mentoring, that is university students mentoring younger youth, and high school and middle school youth mentoring elementary – aged youth, is one of the fastest growing areas of mentoring in America today.

Participants will learn:

  • To compare and contrast peer-to-peer mentoring with the more traditional forms of adult mentoring;
  • The most effective ways to screen and train mentors; and
  • The potential outcomes when they are matched with younger mentees.

Who Should Attend? Mentor coordinators, school – to – career coordinators, guidance counselors, and community – based organizations and faith based coordinators
