TECHNICAL ASSISTANCE TO COALITIONS
The CCSUD provides the following technical assistance to coalitions:
- Work with communities to initiate and implement activities to reduce underage alcohol use including supporting the advocacy, community mobilization, team building, and program planning and action efforts in communities and regions.
- Provide and / or access expertise and resources for members such as training and technical assistance to support the local, regional and statewide activities.
- Assist local communities in processes to implement comprehensive community approaches to change community practices, ordinances and zoning to impact environmental factors that contribute to underage alcohol use.
- Provide direct support to the individuals and organizations that will implement activities at the local, regional and statewide level.
- Coordination and liaison with state and local law enforcement to implement compliance checks.
- Provide training and technical assistance to the Law Enforcement Action Team, compliance checks, operations, trainings and materials.
- Maintain regular contact with committees and members to develop and implement plans for providing necessary support to local and regional activity.
Serve as a "clearinghouse" of information to assist CCSUD members in identifying
areas of common concern and coordinating strategies and other CCSUD activities.
